| HENRY STREET , Kilrush, Co. Clare. |
This project involved the upgrading and refurbishment of Henry Street, a busy shopping street in the heart of Kilrush town. The works involved the replacement and upgrading of the existing kerbs, paths and carriageway surfaces and the installation of new underground services and drainage. Pedestrian crossings, street lighting and street furniture were also incorporated in the project. The shops and buildings in Henry Street remained open during the works which were carried out in separate phases to minimise vehicular and pedestrian access through the main street. The project commenced at the end of March 2002 and was completed in early July to facilitate the increased holiday traffic. |
