This project involved the partial demolition, rebuilding, extension and complete refurbishment of the Limerick Gallery of Art. The site is situated in the heart of Georgian Limerick and the works involved coordinating comprehensive traffic and pedestrian management around the busy Pery Square and People’s Park areas of the city. The works involved the demolition of existing Georgian Structure within conservation parameters. The works also involved the addition of two new extensions, both clad in limestone feature glazed roofs. The internal areas of the Gallery were completely refurbished to provide state of the art Display Areas and Artists Workshops. The works were carried out under the new Government Conditions of Contract. |
