Civil Engineering Project - Quin Road Pedestrian Bridge

Quin Road Pedestrian Bridge

Construction of a precast reinforced concrete pedestrian bridge over rail at Ennis Train Station.  A disabled access concrete approach ramp was constructed on reinforced earth embankments to provide access to the bridge which is 6m above ground level.  Precast reinforced concrete wingwalls were also installed with the precast bridge to retain the embankment adjacent to the track.  The precast bridge structure was installed using a 300t crane during a night time possession of the railway track.  The project also consisted of bridge parapets, ramp railings, site services and public lighting installation.
