King John's Castle

King John’s Castle is Limerick’s most important heritage attraction. The original castle was constructed on the banks of the River Shannon c.1212.  As part of its 800th year anniversary, L & M Keating were appointed as the Main Building and Fit-Out contractor on the Redevelopment of King Johns Castle, Limerick.

The project involved 3 main components, the redevelopment of the Visitor's Centre, the original castle buildings, the surrounding streetescape and archaelogical excavations. The works also included a specialist museum fit-out with a state of the art display with interactive and re-enactment installations.
