Belfast Harbour Bed Protection

Reconstruction of the D1 harbour bed for a new Jackup/Wind Turbine Loading facility at Belfast Harbour. L & M Keating mobilised a combination of specialist company owned and hired plant to meet the tight construction schedule. This plant included 2 long reach excavators, 2 200t hopper barges, 2 spud barges and excavators ranging 20-35t. All plant was networked and GPS synced to meet the onerous construction tolerances required by the jack up operators. Final dredge depths were -12.5m CD and tolerances +/- 150mm.
