| SHANNON HARBOUR DEVELOPMENT OF HOUSE BOAT FACILITY |
The works comprised the construction of a dedicated area containing six berths for the purposes of house boat mooring. Facilities provided included the construction of fixed timber jetties with lighting, a clean water supply and electricity supply. The main elements of the work were as follows; (a) Installation of a double walled AZ12-770 steel sheet piled braced structure (b) Excavation of house boat harbour area. (c) Realignment of canal tow path. (d) Construction of three fixed timber jetties. (e) Construction of dwarf wall around harbour. (f) Stone cladding of sheet piles along harbour front. (g) Installation of service bollards, including connection of electric and water. |
